Can you hear their cries,
For help?
Can you see their last tear fall
From their face?

Invisible children,
Whose eyes shed their last tear,
Before they run dry,
From their constant pain and fear.

On their hands and knees,
Praying for His light,
Praying for a brighter day.

Trapped in a dark room,
Where the light won't shine.
Where very pleasure thrown away,
To an unfamiliar corner?

Can you feel their soul,
Scream out to somebody,
to hear their plea?

Invisible children,
On their hands and knees,
Praying for His light,
Praying, for a brighter day.

Praying for,
A brighter day.

Pouvez vous entendre leur cri,
Pour l'aide?
Pouvez vous voyez leur larme dernier tomber
De leur visage?

I became HIGHLY inspired after hearing :iconwolfgirl519: sing Prayer of the Children in chorus. Well done Kami!!! Anyway, I can't think of a name...so until I think of a better one, this is it. I am definitely going to try to turn this into a song. This poem/song is against child abuse, while a The Prayer of the Children is about children in other countries forced to become soldiers.

Have you seen the film Invisible Children? It's a few years old now, but a documentary no less powerful now as it was when it was released. It's exactly what this poem is about. This piece is not subtle at all is it? It seems like it was written with the intent of making the reader sad. Was that the intent? Or was it just a cry from with in that needed to be shared? Either way, could you give us a glimpse of hope at the end? "Unify, children of the day anew, and let in a brighter day shine" or something, ya know?

The whole poem is about the children suffering as they are forced to become soldiers, child who are abused, or are living in poverty. As much as we all would like it, there isn't all of this happiness and hope in the world, that is what this poem is about. It is a cry FOR help, not explaining help itself...

Hmmm...Doesn't "Save thee" translate to "Save you?" So...I'm guessing that's an error. Aggghhh!! I'm nitpicking!! Gomen-asai Avorio-Arte-Sama!!
